The 3 Step Process of Recycling
Step 1 - The Collection of empty cartridges.
We collect our cartridges from you and we credit you toward your next purchase. Simply participate in our Cartridge Recycling Program and you are a winner. You need to have a minimum of 24 laser cartridges or 36 inkjet cartridges for us to pay for shipping.
Step 2 - The Conversion of empty cartridges into the manufacture of new cartridges.
What process determines if a cartridge passes or fails a test? The purpose of this document is to explain the inspection procedure used for all cartridges submitted. Inspection begins immediately upon receipt.
Inkjet cartridge: The cartridge is visually inspected for a critical defect including damage to the flex tape and a cracked or crushed case. A cartridge fails the inspection upon any of these defects. The cartridge is than cleaned using a lint-free cloth and de-ionized water to remove the residue from the flex tape and nozzle area. The cartridge is visually reviewed for de-lamination that extends into the contact area, inspected for ink under the flex tape, and inspected for major gouging, holes, cracked or missing portions of the nozzle plate. If a cartridge is found to possess any of these defects, it is tagged as a failed cartridge. Lastly, the inspection may involve multiple electronic tests and hand tests using a voltmeter. Nonetheless, over 90% of every cartridge returned passes each test.
Laser cartridge: The cartridge is visually inspected for a critical defect including damage to the housing and a cracked or crushed case. A cartridge fails the inspection upon any of these defects.
Step 3 - The Purchase of the recycled cartridges for use again.
Once the cartridges are received, they are inspected, tested, cleaned, rebuilt, repackaged and sold to major office products resellers and distributors, schools, small and large business customers.
We will issue a credit towards your account for future orders. You will receive an e-mail with credit memo.
No cartridge sent to our facility will ever end up in a waste landfill
